An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several people hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
